A British law firm is the latest to file a creditor's claim against Michael Jackson's estate, and it involves the "sale of Neverland."
There had been rumors Jackson put the ranch up for sale, but they were never confirmed. Now the law firm of Atkins Thomson Solicitors in London is asking for $209,204.36.
The services the firm claims to have performed involved "General discussions re Michael Jackson, personal and professional situation dealing with Colony Capital, Tohme Tohme, Frank Dileo, and Others, Work in Relation to the Sale of Neverland."
The firm also claims to have done work with Jackson's U.S. lawyers and AEG. The firm also did legal work for the London concerts.

TMZ has learned Michael Jackson was involved in negotiations to buy a $38 million 15 bedroom, 16.5 bath Bel Air mansion just before he died, and the deal was 7 years in the making.

Sources connected to the situation tell us MJ fell in love with the 18,020 square foot estate back in 2001 and actually entered into escrow -- but the deal fell through because Jackson ultimately couldn't afford the place.
But recently, Michael was trying to work out a new deal with the owners in the hopes of coming into enough cash to score the place after his "This Is It" concert series in England.
A source tells TMZ: "Jackson brought his kids to see the house and they fell in love with it ... They begged him to buy it."
The kids' favorite part? We're told they were all fired up about a secluded area under the house which was nicknamed the "Bat Cave."
Sources say Jackson had hoped to use the land to recreate as much of Neverland as he legally could, but as we all know ... he never got the chance.

TMZ has reviewed financial documents that show MIchael Jackson's cash flow was in the red zone. Jackson's liquid cash totaled .05% of his net worth.
According to the documents obtained by TMZ, Jackson's net worth was estimated at $1,360,839,979 on July 31, 2007. It's a fortune, to be sure ... but of that $1,150,000,000 is the Sony-ATV Publishing Trust (Beatles Catalog).
As for cold, hard "Cash in Bank" -- $668,215. Jackson could blow through that amount in a trip or two to the antique store.
The other assets:
-- Real property $73,475,000 (Neverland valued at $66,875,000, Encino Home valued at $6,600,000)
-- Restricted cash $10,696,764 (this is a cash reserve to pay interest on loans)
-- Media Archival materials $20,000,000
-- MJ Publishing Trust $85,000,000
-- Professional equipment $1,000,000
-- Automobiles, antiques, collectibles & other personal property $20,000,000
Combined assets total $1,360,839,979.
As for liabilities, the big ticket item is Neverland -- $323,000,000. The description "Notes payable to Fortress are collateralized by Mr. Jackson's interest in the Sony-ATV Publishing Trust and a partial security interest in the Los Olivos, California (Neverland) property. Additionally, as of March 31, 2007, the bank holds restricted cash in the approximate amount of $7,803,621. With other liabilities, the sum comes to $331,000,000."
Jackson's bottom line net worth was listed at $1,360,839,979. But the cash flow is pretty stunning.

One of Michael Jackson's doctors wanted Michael Jackson to trade his dependence on Demerol for another "potent narcotic."
Dr. Alex Farshchian wrote Michael Jackson a letter -- dated July 21, 2002 -- in which he writes, "Buprinex (sic) is the potent narcotic I told you about last week. It is just like the D but better." Buprenex is an injectable narcotic painkiller.

During a search of Neverland, Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies seized a scribbled note -- which may have been written by Jackson and found around his drug stash -- that says "Buprenex does the same as demerol, the only difference is you can't become an addict on Buprenex." The note refers to Buprenex as "synthetic demeroll (sic)." It goes on: "2 viles, I would feel safe having it in case of axident (sic)."
Our research shows if Buprenex is taken for long periods of time or at high doses, it can become addictive.

The doctor refers in his letter to a "5-7 day program that offers you the solution." The doctor does not explain the program.

Joe Jackson continues talking to anyone who will listen -- and last night on "ABC News" he said he does believe there was "foul play" in the death of his son, Michael.

As far as drug use is concerned, Joe says he didn't know anything about it but said whatever Michael took he did so he could "relax and sleep."

Everyone's speculating on Michael Jackson's funeral. We know three things for sure.
-- it won't be until next week
-- it will not be at Neverland
-- it will be in the L.A. area, and the Staples Center is an option but it hasn't been decided.
Beyond that -- the family still hasn't made its decision.

A white carriage hearse was spotted on the 405 Freeway -- making its way North yesterday -- toward Santa Barbara -- adding fuel to the rumors that Michael Jackson will be taken to Neverland for his final resting place.
We've already told you about the hotels that have sold out ... construction trucks and porta-pottys near the Ranch. But we're hearing nothing about the funeral has even been decided by the family.

The buzz is that Jackson's body will be taken to Neverland tomorrow, but so far we're told nothing has been decided.

A shipment of concrete was just delivered to the Neverland Ranch.

We saw the concrete truck drive onto the property. A rep from the construction company told us they got a call today for 32,000 pounds of the hard stuff -- for what, we're not sure ... but it's certainly interesting ...

The part owners of Neverland Ranch have released a letter to the residents of Santa Barbara, warning of the impending madness that will engulf the county if a public viewing of MJ's body occurs later this week.

The letter -- sent by a rep for Colony Capital, LLC -- calls Neverland a "temporary sanctuary" for Michael Jackson fans who "will come, with or without permission or an invitation."
The doc also addresses Neverland's dark past by saying, "As we all know, the impressions left by Michael's last interaction with Santa Barbara County were not positive." But it goes on to say, "Michael was accused, tried and acquitted in our county and found innocent on all counts."

If you had your eye on the gloves from "Edward Scissorhands" or the actual gates of Neverland Ranch, we have some disappointing news for you -- the auction of Michael Jackson's crazy stuff ain't happening.
As part of a settlement between Jackson's production company and Julien's Auction House, Jackson gets to keep the nearly 2,000 items that were to be auctioned off beginning next week.
Terms of the settlement are confidential, but the attorney for the auction house tells us "everyone is happy."
The auction house had previously said they spent $2 million organizing the sale and it was guessing the items could have fetched $12 million.

Is it wrong to buy gigantic metal gates from a very creepy man? Apparently not, according to the one person who bid at least $10,000 to buy the gates from Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch via the singer's online auction.

Some of the items also up for grabs: A gigantic, five-foot tall statue of Geppetto holding Pinnochio, the claws from Edward Scissorhands and even an autographed basketball from Michael Jordan.
It's nice to know Jacko is still sticking to his guns by refusing to represent himself as a normal human being who doesn't own scary things.

Michael Jackson has fired off another legal attack in the hopes of keeping his personal creepy stuff from Neverland off of the auction block -- but these legal papers come fully equipped with an item-by-item breakdown of every bizarre, disturbing item on his property. Warning: It gets weird...

Here's a sample of some of the various works of art on the 2,952 item list: "boy with accordion," "boy sitting on bricks," "boy w/ baton and hat w/ feathers," "two boys on swing bar," "two boys with ladder," "boys sleeping on bench," " boys milking goat," "boy on a toy car with girl," "boy pulling, 2 boys on a bike," "boy lifting girl," "2 boys sitting on a sunflower," "little boy with turquoise overalls on a stand," "bronze boy and girl hugging," "bronze boy carrying a fruit basket," "boys catching fish." And it goes on and on and on and on ....
Jacko also has an item described as "child's upper body mannequin." In fact, he has two of those.
Check out the documents. Discuss among yourselves...
