Hilary Duff's dad will be spending up to ten days in jail -- all because of a fight over cash for Hilary's birthday party.
According to Houston Chronicle, mama Duff dragged her ex into court today -- and this is no joke -- to ask for $25,000 to throw a party for Hilary's 21st birthday -- because that's what they spent on Haylie's 21st bday two years ago.
After the judge told Bob he had to shell out $12,500 for the bash -- he decided to sentence Bob to 10 days in jail for contempt of court for selling assets without court approval to the tune of $367,537.
When Bob was cuffed, mama Duff supposedly mumbled "This isn't what I wanted." Apparently all she wanted was a whole lot of money -- something her kids have already made themselves.

Looks like Emily Robison of the Dixie Chicks will be attending the local honky-tonk alone from now on.

Charlie Robison's divorce from Emily was finalized yesterday, because the marriage had "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities." But just because they don't get along doesn't mean the divorce will get nasty! The two will be joint managing conservators of their three children -- meaning they'll split duties right down the middle -- and they'll dice up their estates just the same.
Charlie filed in January, totally under the radar. The two were married in 1999.

Sources tell us Charlie Sheen has buried a Bev Hills doctor in small change, and Charlie's people think they know who dropped the dime.

Dr. Peter Waldstein, a Bev Hills pediatrician, has treated Charlie and Denise's two kids in the past. Charlie was pissed that the doc was immunizing the kiddies, because he doesn't believe in it. Charlie sent Waldstein a letter, demanding that he no longer treat the kids, but the Dr. fired his own letter back saying he would treat them if they needed medical attention, no matter what.
So, there was this outstanding $380 bill that Charlie paid by messenger today. It was a big box filled with $380, all in nickels. By our calculations that's 7,600 nickels.
We're told the Dr. is donating the loot to the March of Dimes.
Charlie's rep, Stan Rosenfield, said, "Dr. Waldstein should spend more time treating his patients than leaking stories to TMZ." Rosenfield adds, "Maybe Dr. Waldstein would like to be featured in John McCain's next television commercial [famous for being famous]."
For the record, we're not saying who gave us the story.

A-Rod is swinging back against C-Rod in their divorce case, and here's the pitch: You'll eat that prenup and like it.

Alex Rodriguez filed his response to wife Cynthia's divorce filing, and while he slams any suggestion of infidelity as "immaterial and impertinent," he doesn't deny that they were true. What's more, he says that he's going to hold Cyn to their prenup, the terms of which aren't precisely known, but are said to be in A-Rod's favor.
Meanwhile, he does admit that Cynthia is a "loving and nurturing mother" and will agree to help pay support for their two kids.
One other lil' tidbit: A-Rod clearly thinks he and the Yankees are going to the playoffs, saying that he''s required to "travel extensively ... more often than not through the baseball playoffs in October."
We've called Cynthia's people -- so far, nothing.

Nick Carter's mama was arrested this morning, allegedly over a really nasty divorce hearing.
Here's how it went down. Jane Carter, aka Jane Holcomb, aka Jane Schnek, was divorced from a guy named John Holcomb. There are still some legal odds and ends to deal with, including an allegation that she trashed the house they once shared.
John filed legal papers forcing Jane into court, but she didn't appear. So the Florida judge wants her butt in jail for not appearing and he's ordered a bench warrant. She was picked up today in Sumter County at a cemetery where the construction company she works for was doing a project. Perfect.
It ain't Donna Reed, folks.

The hubby of "A Different World's" favorite southern belle has filed his response to her divorce filing. Paging Kadeem Hardison!

Jasmine Guy's soon-to-be ex Terrence Duckett filed the documents last Friday in L.A. County Superior Court in response to his estranged wife's original filing. These simple docs are a far cry from Whitley's first try at divorce. In those papers, filed in April, Guy listed two pages of things as her "separate property," including her wedding ring, paintings, sculptures, her BlackBerry, DVD players, pots, pans, and a toaster. Where's the kitchen sink? No word on why Duckett refiled the papers.
Duckett is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their nine-year-old daughter Imani.

Alex Rodriguez' bat got plenty of work -- even during the off-season.
As early at December 2006, A-rod was spotted entering a posh Coconut Grove hotel in Fla. with two women who have since been dragged into the ballplayer's divorce circus.
Joslyn Morse -- the stripper A-Rod was busted with a few months ago -- and fitness model Alicia Marie shared a hotel suite in Florida where A-Rod visited their room until the early morning hours, according to the NY Post.
Marie has denied a romantic affair, but when asked by the Post about a late-night slumber party with the bomber and Joslyn, she said, "I really can't comment on that."

Cynthia Rodriguez wants to know everything about A-Rod's finances, and also if he's into wiretapping and putting private detectives on her.

In court documents filed in Miami last week, C-Rod is demanding Alex produce documents about all things financial -- tax returns, banking info, loan applications, stock info, wills and life insurance.
Now here's the juicy part. Cynthia wants "Any reports you have received from a detective, investigator or any other person based upon surveillance of your spouse." And, she wants "all tape recordings and other evidence prepared from tape recordings made in connection with any wiretapping or other electronic surveillance conducted by you or others on your behalf."
She also wants "all electronic evidence ... contained in all computers to which you have access" over the last three years. The demand includes iPhones, Sidekicks and BlackBerries.

In sports, yelling "you suck" just doesn't cut it anymore.

Now that Alex Rodriguez and Madonna are forever linked, the highest paid man in baseball is now the easiest fodder -- and Toronto Blue Jays fans took full advantage on Friday by hoisting photos of Madge before he went up to the plate.
The Blue Jays skunked the Yanks 5-0.

A Florida judge has just thwarted Linda Hogan's attempt to throw her soon-to-be ex hubby in the slammer for not closing on a $4.2 mil condo in Vegas. Sorry, Nick!

In a ruling handed down today, Judge George Greer denied Linda's contempt of court motion, saying essentially that there's no evidence that Hulk violated a court order by not forking over the cash for the condo. As we first reported, Hulk wants to bail out on the deal, while Linda claims they agreed to close May 30 on the Palms Place pad and Hulk never paid up -- which she says he had no right to do.
But not so fast -- Hulk's not off the hook just yet. The judge asked for more information before making a decision on whether Hulkster will be forced to pay or not.

Working the pole gives you some good arm muscles -- and the stripper who helped Stray-Rod get his name showed off her tickets to the gun show yesterday in Miami.
No doubt seeking the cameras, Scores dancer Joslyn Morse went out to lunch, where she fed off A-Rod's divorce publicity.

Maybe Kobe is finally off the hook.
Shaquille O'Neal's wife Shaunie filed for divorce last year, but it's looking like she's had a change of heart. A source close to the couple tells TMZ a reconciliation might be in the works and that as far as the divorce goes, "Nothing is happening right now."
The pair was spotted together over the Fourth of July weekend looking quite friendly.

Lawyers for Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook have come to a tentative settlement, but we're told that whatever they've agreed to could still come unglued when they get to court and show it to the judge.

Yesterday, as we reported, the ex-couple's lawyers were working OT to get a pact done, but couldn't do it during the day. We're told they worked "intensely" to make it happen at a L.I. hotel, and they will be presenting an agreement in court today.
Another source tells TMZ that Cook was "anxious" to get the custody fight over with before two detectives, who were scheduled to testify yesterday then were delayed until today, spilled the beans on what they'd dug up on him.
Story developing ...
